Overview

Escape to Grootbos Private Nature Reserve, a luxurious natural sanctuary set between ancient milkwood forest and the sweeping coastline of Walker Bay, South Africa.

During your time here, choose from guided experiences that showcase the best of the Cape Floral Kingdom, from botanical fynbos hikes and 4x4 flower safaris. You might also choose to enjoy some horse riding, coastal drives with seasonal whale watching and even explorations of the historic Klipgat Cave.

Whether you are out on a nature walk, discovering the work of the Grootbos Foundation, or simply unwinding on the decks with panoramic sea and mountain views, this expedition offers a deeply restorative, nature-rich escape.

Expedition Itinerary

Day 1: Cape Town to Grootbos

On arrival in Cape Town you will be met at the door of your aircraft with your name on a paging board. Should your aircraft be directed to the apron and not the terminal building, you will be transported to the terminal by bus where your Meet and Greet will be waiting for you as you step off the bus.

You will then be assisted through immigration, baggage collection and customs and then head from Cape Town to Grootbos Private Nature Reserve.

Day 2: Grootbos

This morning you will wake up to panoramic views of the Fynbos covered hillsides and beautiful Walker Bay. With so many activities on offer at Grootbos you will enjoy some amazing experiences.

Day 3: Grootbos

The guiding team includes botanists and nature conservationists with all round knowledge of the flora, marine and bird life of the region. Some of the vast varieties of activities you might enjoy are guided nature walks, cave tours, and learning about the incredible Grootbos Foundation.

Day 4: Grootbos to Cape Town

Sadly, you will eventually have to leave. Today you will be met and transferred back to Cape Town, heading on to your next adventure.
